The Canadian Bridge Championships involve mostly team competitions, with some pairs competitions. Parallel to the Championships, there is a Regional tournament.

Qualifying sessions were held in the clubs in the fall to participate in the Canadian Team and Pair Championships that required pre-qualification. However, see the Conditions of Contest to know the available modalities if this pre-qualification has not been acquired.

The 2017 Championship will be held in Winnipeg from April 29 to May 7, 2017. The Canadian Bridge Federation website lists events and details for each event. Click here.

Canadian Team Championships: Open – B – C – Women – Senior

The deadline for the registration of teams is February 26, 2017. The category of players is based on their ACBL master points as of September 1, 2016 (B and C).

A: Open – Saturday, April 29 to Sunday, May 7.
B: 0 – 2,500 – Saturday 29 April to Tuesday 2 May.
C: 0 – 1 000 – Saturday 29 April to Tuesday 2 May.
Women’s Teams – Saturday, April 29 to Tuesday, May 2.
Senior Teams – Wednesday, May 3 to Sunday, May 7.

Canadian Pair Championship

IMPs – Friday, May 5th.
Open Pairs – Saturday May 6th and Sunday May 7th.

Regional level events

Throughout the week – Open to all.
