Mac Paterson (1927-2018)

Bridge teacher, tournament director, and member of the Board of Directors of the Montreal Bridge League, Mac Paterson distinguished herself through her deep dedication to novice players and her ongoing commitment to promoting the game of bridge.

She was the driving force behind the creation of tournaments for beginners in Montreal, which she organized with great care. She even personally reached out to new players to encourage them to participate and become part of the bridge community.

With the invaluable collaboration of her husband, she ensured that a warm and welcoming atmosphere prevailed. Hospitality, trophies, and the distribution of materials on the most useful conventions made these events both educational and memorable.

Passionately devoted to bridge, she was especially committed to ensuring that her protégés developed confidence and enjoyment in the game, never feeling intimidated by more experienced players.
