Jean Castonguay honored by the Canadian Bridge Federation

Jean Castonguay has been named the recipient of the CBF Lifetime Achievement Award in recognition of his tireless service to the CBF and to bridge in Québec.

Jean served on the CBF board of directors, representing Zone II (Quebec and Eastern Ontario), from 2003 to 2014 when he was forced to retire for health reasons.

He has been the face of bridge in Montreal for more than 20 years, having organized several bridge tournaments for the CBF and Unit 151. He also ran a local bridge club in Montreal and served as tournament director.

Despite health issues in the last couple of years which forced him to curtail his activities, Jean remains committed to, and involved in, serving the Montreal bridge community.

Jean will be honoured and receive the award during the CBF Hall of Fame ceremony which will take place in Winnipeg during the 2017 Canadian Bridge Championships.

Congratulations Jean! … and Thank you!
